PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
FOR HEALTH CARE WORKERS FIGHTING COVID-19
We are a group of medical students from Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine (BCOM) who joined our Student National Medical Association (SNMA) chapter’s initiative in leading “Protect NM” in Las Cruces. Protect NM was established by the University of New Mexico School of Medicine (UNM SOM) to distribute personal protective equipment to areas in need and combat our current health crisis. Particularly, certain southern New Mexico communities and the indigenous Native American population have been adversely affected at alarming rates. With this in mind, our aim is to overcome this pandemic while keeping our neighbors and frontline workers safe.
